Default should I go with e85

Ok guys dropped the camaro off at the dyno this weekend. It has a procharge kit the d1sc, forged pistons, arp rod bolts, ported heads, full exhaust, and most of the other bolt ons. I have the twin pump setup and 60# injectors. The tuner asked me if I wanted to try the e85, we have a couple of pumps around my area. Just wanted your guys input on how you are getting along with it. Looking to be making around 600hp. I think I would have to run bigger fuel lines and aftermarket fuel rails, just wondering if it would be worth it, all I can get for premium is 91oct around here and I think 600hp is pushing its limits.

yeah you would have to run a little bigger fuel rail and line and if you use a big pump then you just need one single pump instead of 2. also your going to have to run bigger injectors. my friends gto is a naturally aspirated motor and is running 96lbs injectors and i forgot what kind of a pump.

Id say go e85 if your tuner knows what he is doing. With a higher octane you can run more boost or more timing. Its also alot cleaner if you care for the earth, like so many of use ls1 techers.

E85 without question will get you more power (with a retune). If that is what you're after, go for it. You will lose quite a bit of mileage, so if you care about mpg don't even think about it. Smells nice also

Don't forget that E85 burn quicker than straight gas. So more trips to the pump will be in your future. I have a flex fuel truck and I barely use the e85 option. It just drinks it too quick.

I know about mpg, Im just thinking of it because of the octane and the cooling effects. Some guys say it really helps with the motor running cooler also.I have heard quite of few people with prochargers with problems with that.

If your fuel system is up to the task and you have e85 stations nearby, go for it!
You need to plan the fuel system to supply about 40% more fuel volume.
If you make a lot of road trips where e85 is not available, then it might be a PITA.
My build will be e85 only, but I will not be daily driving the car.

I would do it. I ran it for a while in my truck and really liked it, but it was too inconvenient for me to running it everyday. Had to drive 30 miles to get then and have to drive 60 now . And the price I was getting it for was not economical. It was costing me 5 cents more a mile to run it, but I never got a chance to see if I could tune it for lean cruise and pick up some more mileage. The best thing about it, is's it like running cheap race gas
