After hacking up quite a few pieces, looking at an tubular header style, a log style header, and even some renderings of a cast manifold, working with a pure stock platform, there is no room for a "production" kit, even hotside only.

The AC is in the way, it will require a tubular K, it will require relocation of the alternator, radiator, fans, AC condenser, etc.

We have decided to scrap the project. The APS kit is very well engineered, and if you want to go single turbo, you should look at KYTP or the others that have succeeded on this board.

There is a reason single turbo, and turbo kit companies go out of business, and its absolute murder trying to make all of this fit with quality parts, sound engineering, and most of all, reliability and durability.

I know this will make some people disappointed, but we are not a company to take your money and not give a quality product in return. It is better to stop now, vs continue on and create a bunch of false hopes.

Well, thanks for being up front with the challenge. I think it's almost mandatory to replace the K-member with a turbo header. I wish you could have dropped in a BMR turbo K-member first as it opens up alot more possibilities. Either way, I think you would lose the AC though and seems like everyone has to have AC and 1000 HP .

I wish you can reproduce OFI's hot parts. I know he failed many people. But, KYTP did produce a one kit using similar to OFI hot parts. It keeps A/C and alternator.

well DUH! i will likely be jumping on this project in the not to distant furture. just from what my head has conjured up i think it is totally possible with stock manifolds, a bmr turbo k member and alt relocation. and without going crazy modifying things.

Well said.
My turbo kit fabricator said he would do another set similar to mine, but they would be $3000. There is a ton of design and labor into one off custom stainless turbo manifolds. Each welded seam causes a little shrinkage to the overall length. Add it up on a complicated runner, and you really need to know your stuff to compensate for that. During the tack stage, some of the runners were off to the flange by .5" to 1", I was puzzled, but by the time they were finish welded, PERFECTLY lined up. Experienced welder/fabricators pick up on those kind of things, and have been stung on underselling a job compared to labor involved. Custom stuff has to cost more.
