Default W2A Intercooler question

I have a 7.6 gallon water tank where the bask seat used to be, a Meziere inline water pump and a Ron Davis heat exchanger and of course the intercooler itself. Now where should I mount the pump, next to the tank, or up front near the heat exchanger and intercooler? It should run through the heat exchanger first, the on to the intercooler, right?

Here is the tank...

Now that was going to be next question. Should I route the hose under the car, or under the carpet along the console? It is 1" hose.

You can route it either way. Mine is routed under the car and I have never had any issues with it. Just keep the hose away from anything that could move and rub a hole in it.

I just don't know if I can make the turn from out of the pump under the car, without kinking the hose. It will have to go out to the drivers side, my 5" DP is on the passenger side.

I'm not really sure what you are working with or how you are planning to run your lines but if you need to make a sharp turn, you can always run a 90 deg. barb fitting and slide your 1" hose on each side.

What hose are you planning to use?

Undecided. I hate the look of the clear hose. I can get gates rubber hose, braided hose would be awful expensive.

Yeah we will see how it works. It is 3.5" and vented, so I went with it. I did not like the looks of the plastic lid on the chiseled tanks, and they were backed up anyways.

Veee8,

Got your PM on RWHP, I would be glad to do some welding for ya! I am moving next weekend so it will be about 2 weeks before I have my equipment setup again but after that I am sure we can work something out!

also.. for hose try the socketless hose from aeroquip, the fittings and the hose are MUCH less expensive and it is alot easier to work with and is every bit as good for your application!

I love that stuff for the unseen routing but use braided for bling where visible!

Chris

Hey Chris,
Yeah, I was looking at the socketless stuff, I may go that route.
Where are you moving to? Most of my stuff to finish this should be in this week, but my wife and I are expecting to have our baby any day now (she is getting cranky! ) If he shows up in time, I may be going to LSX, but we will see. I haven't unloaded the car off the trailer yet, so let me know when you are ready.
Thanks Chris

I wouldn't run your lines under the car. If you get any sort of condensation on the hose it will drip on the track. Then some track guy is going to pitch a fit cause something is dripping off the car.

That is a good point. I would like to try and route it under the carpet along the console. The interior is still out of it from putting in the cage, so it might not be too bad.
