Default Virgin Turbo Passes

I made my first 3 passes with this car in the past 2 years Thursday night. It went 9.8, 9.6, 9.3. Had testing for the Pinks Arm Drop Race Friday night and went 9.3 then tired the transbrake for the first time in my life and ran a 9.1@149. I'm amazed how quick the car has went with a totally new setup on pump gas. Its a ls2 404 with a s91 on 315/60 MT Radial. Come Saturday I put in 50/50 93/c16 and turned the boost up from 10psi to 18psi. The clocks werent working and Rick C was doing his arm drop bullshit but the car was pulling great. On the 9.1 10psi run it felt like a 10.0 nitrous run but on 18psi I really had to use the brakes to slow down. I would put $$$ it was at least a 8.7@160+. I was getting a feel for the brake and leaving on it harder every pass. I got lined up the first 2 races with 9.0-9.5 bracket cars that would jump me out of the hole by 3-5 cars but I had them by 15+mph on the big end. Each round was a hot lap with zero cool down to maybe 3 minutes between each. At the start of the 3rd race my coolant temp was 235 degrees and I let out around the 1000' mark with 250 on the guage. I was already a car and a half behind with the car way down on power. It felt like it was down to the power on 10psi. I also had a issue on the burn out of the run with only 1 tire spinning in the burnout box until I backed back into the water again. I'm not sure how thats possiable with a spool. The car left a little crooked but not bad on that run. I'll look into the motor tomorrow, I hope I didn't hurt something running it so hot. Btw I'm also running a stock radiator still, which will be changed soon. I drove the car home from the track and it drove complete fine so I hope all is well.

The engine bay is painted and cleaned up but this is the most recent pic I have.

If you have a spool and only one tire spins, something is fucked.

Killer ride. Post some more pics of the rear tires. I'm thinking about the 315's.

Great times... could you post up details of your suspension setup? It looks like you're hooking nicely on drag radials. Also, what ignition setup is that?

Very nice and congrats!

Yeah, something is wrong if you can do a one tire burn with a spool.

I'll get some more pics. The fuel pump is a a1000 but it is plumbed for twin a1000's and 96lb injectors. Madman TQ arm, qa1 single rears, qa1 dual fronts, double adjustiable sway bar, good cage. Nothing crazy it just works. Stock coils just relocated.

Nice passes! Congratulations on doing that with pump gas too.

Have you had the car dynoed, interested to see how much power it makes?
