Very nice setup, real race type stuff right there.

I was wondering how long it was gonna take for people to start making real race setups for the ls series of engines, looks like people are finally getting to it.

Makes me want to go out and sawzall the radiator supports right out of my sled. I wonder, if the back plate that is on that motor could also be made so that it's a motor plate as well, an all in one plate. Hmmmmmmm...........
Yes, he is planning on incorporating a motor plate into some of them as well.
As far as the core support, no cutting required, just get a slightly different radiator and lay it back. He took measurements on a camaro already

ATI already offers one for the SBC, BBC and SBF. This is the same design, just modified for the LSx. (And a few other small changes).

How is it tensioning the belt? I can't tell from the pictures but it doesn't look like there is a tensioner pulley and I thought maybe that bolt on the pasenger side of the blower was moving the blower to creat tension but then there would be no way to adjust it once the intake pipe was installed?

The blower rotates in the bracket. It's on an eccentric. There is enough 'give' in the rubber coupler that it's not an issue with the tubing.

I dunno how much give the coupler has, but a decent change in the pulley diamter is gonna move the blower a good bit, unless you change both pulley's at once.

I'm sure it's got to be o.k. though because they wouldn't have made it that way if it wasn't.

I still want one, believe me I'm ready to go home with the sawzall and get to work.

Ok, that's how I originally thought it worked, it just seemed with the solid intake pipe with only one rubber coupler it would be hard to adjust without stressing that rubber coupler quite a bit. I guess if you have the right belt length, the blower won't have to move much to get some tension on the belt.

The compressor housing also rotates. If you have to move the blower that much, you would likely have to rotate the compressor housing and it would line right back up. Trust me, guys like Mark Micke (won Pro Street this weekend and also won the championship in NMCA) have been unning a setup exactly like this for years.

Ah yeah, now that makes more sence, I forgot about being able to rotate the housing to realign. Looks like an awesome bracket, if mine doesn't work out, I'll be going this route.

When making a belt or a pulley change you loosen the compressor housing, set the tension on the belt w/ the built in adjustment slots and then realign the tubing to the outlet. The blower pivots around the compressor housings center. So by that it can always line back up. You will find this scenario to be true of all the reverse blowers seeing how they usually have a fixed idler that is attached to the pivot bracket the same thing happens. We try to ditch the idler and shorten belt length. Both of which free up power and add belt life.
VERY nice setup!
