Why should i oring my heads? I have a ring machined into the block around the cylinders that cuts into the head. Nothing that can leak..

We do so on all 800 + hp bmw engines we build.

I did thanks....I can see the groove etc..

Was more interested in the ring design.

And the name pyramid ?? is the ring a traditional round section ?? or like a Wills ring ?? Or from the name...a triangular "pyramid" shape ?

It has a "pyramid" shape edge on the ring.

I would like to see if that set up worked @ 1000+ rwhp. I wish you luck but I wouldn't hold my breath. Put 1500 crank hp to it and tell us if it works. It would be great if it did. Very nice build!!!!

So is a groove machined around the cylinder then the ring goes in the groove?

On a LS1 block? The blocks are weak it's not the heads lifting. Try using a LSX block with four bolt standard casting heads, I bet it will hold.

Again it would be great if this worked, it's after 10 sets of head gaskets that leaves me secptical.
