We have had that problem on some maggie stuff, esp. if its geared short and moves through the revs quickly. In this case we go to a solid tensioner setup. This is a must for example in the long travel buggies.

What size front pulley? Do you have the upgraded hadware for the tensioner that comes with the Maggie (the bracket that bolts to the head to provide rigidity)?

Its the tensioner! Get the Katech. Have you changed pullies? If the belt is straight and true, then Its most likely the tensioner under load bouncing and throwing the belt.

Yes, there is an upgraded bracket that Magnuson started putting out with kits earlier this year that bolts the back of the tensioner to the head to keep it from flexing.

I installed one with my kit and haven't had the belt jump at all.

I have a 122 on my GTO, and have never had belt issues. I have the bracket for my tensioner, and I run 1:1 rear pullies and a 3.0" front pulley.

I'd say it's time for a Katech or ECS tensioner then...

Did you pin the crank?
