E85 & injectors
E85 & injectors Tried E85 over the weekend and working good. Was able to add some timing up top and boost comes in sooner and engine load at cruise is down. The only issue is my injectors are maxing out, I got up to 149% inj duty cycle.
What size injectors you guys think I need to keep under 100%?
I'm running 8lbs boost.

why not easy to tune ^ ^ ^
also i want to run 1000wrhp on e85.
if i do two sets of injectors will that work
set one - 60lbs
set two - 60lbs
and keep both high impedance. have second set turn on at 11 psi
then i can run around on 10psi on street

Did some research and found out plugging in the values for injectors this big is needed along with tweking some other values. Found the info on the hptuners.com forum

I have twin 255 pumps big fuel line aem rails boost reference regulator with 60lb injectors, running out of fuel over 5000 rpm. Car is making 581hp and 596lb ft on e85 on a dynamics dyno. I am at 11psi also, think about going to some 95lb injectors soon.
I have a set of brand spankin new flow matched 95lb Acceleronics for $390 shipped
with paypal fees if anyone needs a set.
Looking for 120's now...

Use .85 as the BSFC number to see what injectors to run on E85 !!!

However I am lost to what size injectors I will need to support 1200rwhp. I was thinking 160lb but if 120lb will do it. Ideas?
On E85 you will need 160's at the least. You will need to run them at about 60psi base to keep the duty cycle below 100. Also you will be out of pump assuming you will be making 1350fwhp. I use a BSFC of .9-.95 when using e85 with FI, .85 is better suited to a NA eng. Maybe a supercharged engine on a stretch, defiantly not a turbo engine.

BTW~ I am running a belt driven pump to ensure proper flow.
I am trying to avoid the jump to 160's so that I can still drive on gas if I get stuck between E85 stations and have to run 93 in it to get home.
I am thinking the belt drive will allow me to crank up the fuel pressure for my E85 tune to get the most out of the 120's.
I'm not as greedy as 1INSANEGTO, as I am only looking for 1200 at the crank!

One of these...
Aeromotive pump bolted to a truck a/c compressor bracket.
The bolt holes for the a/c tensioner line up with the bracket for the pump.
I have heard the 96's I have could hang with 100+ base pressure.
Does anyone have thoughts on the max working pressure of 96's or 120's?
