Re: How do inline pump works? Every pump has a flow/pressure curve; its flow
capacity drops off against a working head. So
(say) if the stock pump was "value-engineered"
to just barely be able to support the stock fuel
demand and keep its 58PSI, it might only make
50PSI against the fuel flow needed to support 20%
more HP.
But a "booster" pump that can make a +10PSI "lift"
at that same flow, decreases the working head on
the stock pump to 48PSI and life is good again.
This is just an example but I reckon you get the
drift.

Re: How do inline pump works? Do a good intank pump. The stock pump can only pump so much, the inline is not going to pull any more through the one in the tank. The only thing it will do as was said is try to keep the pressure up on demand NOT create more flow. A good intank pump will give you plenty of flow and the pressure.
