Default FP and fuel level

If your running really low on gas, will this affect fuel pressure? I have a Racetronix kit for my C5.... tonight while I was using the a 150shot for a race, I felt some hestiation. Is it possible I was running low on fuel pressure?

not low pressure, prob air bubbles!

NEVER get low on fuel, the fuel is the heat sink for the in tank pump!

Try to avoid running the tank dry. The fill bucket can help but only to a point. If you are making some good HP you could end up sucking the bucket dry as the venturi system can not keep the bucket full under WOT and it needs time to help it recover. This can also damage your pump if it is repeated on a regular basis.

So you cut a hole in your bucket and installed a generic Walbro 340?

If it does it for a few seconds after switched off its probably just the return fuel being dumped back in the tank.

The air bubbles are what happens when the engine surges from lack of fuel, eg going low on fuel or around a long corner where the pump doesn't pickup fuel it pumps air as thats all its picking up, this makes the car surge (fuel surge).

The fuel in the return line is often very bubbly due to the rapid drop of the fuel's pressure during its exit from the fuel pressure regulator. The best fuel systems keep the outlet of the return line away from the pickup and keep the exit submerged in existing fuel or we create even more bubbles to be picked up and sent to the injectors. Also, keeping the return exit submerged helps to minimize in tank fuel vapor which makes a much less of a tank explosion if in an accident.
