Default AN fitting install??
I'm going to be runing aluminum fuel line and I want to install the an fittings my self.. Anybody know how to do this?? Thanks

Well first you order it then you build it... LOL I think you need to flare the line though I would call jegs they will tell you what you need and what to do.

LOL!! Well I already have the fuel line coming. I think I'm going to need a 37degree flairing tool. Hope somebody can chime in.

if you dont have the flaring tool, you can get it from someone like summit or jegs. its definetly not the same degree flare of anything else! its only a matter of putting the fitting on the aluminum line, flaring the line, and attaching the hard line to the -AN line. you know how to make up an -AN line?

what about compression fittings, i think they have an fittings ill get a pic and part # latter.

yeah, I read somewhere that they use a 37 degree flare. And no, I have no Idea how to make up an -an line.

IS the lower pic a compression style fitting.? IF It Is I assume it would be similar to the quick connect air fittings? If that's the case I'd rather go that route just because of the ease of installation. What do you guys think?

the bottom is just like the top just a female fitting. im about to do my fuel system im doing duel pumps intank.

Same here. I just sent my fuel pump to lonnies performance to get the dual pumps installed.

37º flare tools are for AN fittings
45º flare is home plumbing stuff.
get the right tool for the right job. Otherwise you WILL have leaks

My friend and I put the aluminum line on his car and we hated it. It endined up going in the the recycling bin and we got the braided hose instead.

What did you hate?
If you use braided dont you get a fuel smell unless it is teflon braided line?
Stainless steel and aluminum will cost about 100 max to run and braided about 250 if I'm correct.
