Default e85 eats away fuel filter?

Hey so i have been tryen to research this e85 stuff before i convert my car and that shop that is going to do my tune says that e85 eats away at the paper in the filters and thats why the gunk up. Now what i want to know is this true? thanks for your help

Here is my stock fuel filter after 4yrs of running corn.

i had a problem after first converting but it wasnt from it EATING anything it was cause it cleaned my entire system from the gum and other varnishes that were left behind from 45000 miles on gasoline never a problem since
