just converted to E-85!!!!!!
Idle's like a champ, and even smells like corn haha. I can feel how the car likes to get up and go a little bit more but havent takin it up high on the rpms cause there is no wide open throttle tune.
Oh yea i forgot to mention all i did for this convertion was change my pump out to a 255lph and put in bigger injectors and had my shop do a base tune . I guess im being some what of a test dummie to see if i do or do not need to change out my rubber fuel lines. I here on here that some have run without changing the lines and some swear that you need to change out the lines, rails, pump, injectors and some ohter stuff. I guess i will wait and see hahaha
Well hopefully i will have the dynoe result in a couple of days, not expecting much since i dont have really high compression but we'll see. Thanks for reading
When i convertited to e85 the shop only changed my fuel injectors and mad adjustments to my tune so it was drive able. i drove the car for three tanks to get most the varnish out, changed the fuel filter and took the car in today for the wide open throttle tune. Results again where 394rwhp in 85 degree weather.
Now i wasn't there and havent picked the car up or talked indepth to my tuner so i dont have the full specs., but from what he told me over the phone my first pass was 376 rwhp, and then after all passes he got it out to 394rwhp again. The only thing that he could think of for the reason power loss was do to the hotter temp.
So if that is all true, then technially if i gained 18 rwhp at 85 degree weather then it should be the same at 66 degree weather, right? So at 66 degrees, technially i'm 412rwhp? I dont know if this is how the temp and horse power loss or gain works but its my thought.
Well i will pick her up tomorrow and let you know the full specs.
Let me know what you guys think! thanks
First off i changed out my clutch to a monster level 3 with a steel flywheel form a RPS clutch with an aluminum fly wheel. Plus the monster is a 12'' pressure plate and the RPS was an 11'', so there is more wieght on my crank witch in return will not spin as fast wich results in lower hp. maybe 5-8 im thinking.
Next the weather. it was 66 degrees in november when i first tuned it. Yesterday it was 85 degrees when the car was tuned. im guessing maybe 5-10 hp was lost there but i could be wrong, i dont know
Well any hoo, the car rips harder than before!!! taking it to the track on friday, so we''ll see what she dose. Will keep you posted for those who care!
