Default Mixing race gas with pump gas?

I was wondering if I can safely mix 50/50 mix of unleaded sunoco 104 octane with shell vpower 93 unleaded "pump" octane? Will it still work out to give me 98 RON octane rating? Will this not mix well? Will it make my car run bad? It's a turbo car...and I just want a bit of added safety.

Thanks,
Rick

No problem. I mix 5 gals of sunoco blue with each tank of gas, for the last 10k miles at least. The blue is leaded though, and messes with the o2 sensors and wideband sensor a little. Unleaded will give you no problems. It may skew your fuel trims a little depending on the specific gravity of the fuel and if it is oxygenated or not, compaired to what it was tuned on. So you may need to tweek your tune a little to be optimum.
