Default ls1 fuel problem again

thought i had this fixed but its reared its ugly head again! car is a 2000 v6 body converted to a 01 ls1 from a z28. it turns over but just wont start. let it set for awhile and it will start. I just spent over $200 for a complete racetronix system for it with fuel pump harness and all. its started fine the first few times i drove it but its doing the same old crap again. so now back to square one.
1. the cars trans went out sometime around when the problem started so could something electronic in the trans keep the car from getting fuel and starting?
2. the car also has a new battery but ive noticed the battery gauge is low sometimes so could it possibly not be getting enough cranking amps to start?
3. could the fuel regulator on the pump assembly be bad?
4. car is using the bcm and key from the 2000 model could it be different from the 02 model? the 2000 was just about the lowest of the low when it came to options no power anything but the 02 had just about every option

any other ideas would be much appreciated.

You did not provide enough info to solve the problem.

1. Are you using all the V8 lines & sender?

2. Did you put a fuel pressure gauge on the rail to check the pressure?

Provide more data to determine if it is truely fuel related...

we completely gutted the v6 car down to a bare shell and striped the v8 cars parts directly onto it so its got every piece off the z28 on it lines and all. but talk to me like im stuped for a min whats the sender and where is it located i havent put a fuel pressure gauge on it yet but im about to order one that goes on the fuel rail so i can moniter it.

the fuel lines arent the same something about the regulator being in the tank vs being on the fuel rail on the v6 cars but im not really sure what the complete diff is myself. i just didnt want anything v6 related on my car and i had a parts car so i changed it all tank lines everything.

Fuel sender or module is the part in the tank with the pump in it. Commonly called a sender, module, pump assembly or a multitude of other names.

If you swapped all the components, you should be OK. Verify pressure to prove the car has enough pressure to sart, then go on to other things.

CJSTALLINGS, the V6 had a engine mounted regulator & different fuel lines. To add a V8 you would need to add a regulator up front, connected to the V6 return line to control the fuel pressure or swap over to the V8 lines & fuel system.
