so what pump should i go with? a stock one will probably cost me more than $300 but how long will a aftermarket one last? close to 200K like my stock one did? the only mods i have are LT's and a tune and i don't plan on puttin any other gofast parts on the car

Depends on the level of modification on your car.
I have factory GM replacement pumps, entire new fuel senders or Racetronix performance replacement pump kits... all much cheaper than you stated above.
Please call me for more info & i'll get you the best part for your needs.

From what I read on some threads... the Walbro 255 needs the bucket modified a little bit to fit?
I went with the Racetronix kit because it was well put together and went in very easy. It was harder to drop the tank than to install the pump and hotwire kit.
You should also get the Racetronix hotwire kit to give that pump the extra power it needs!

^^Yep. Walbro requires modification to the bucket & once thats done if you switch to a Racetronix later you'll need a new bucket. I just installed a Racetronix pump last night. I didnt use the hot wire kit but the pump still works great. Very simple install with step by step instructions. Took me about a hour cause I took my time. But I also already have a trap door so I can access my pump in less than 5 minutes.
