E85- Possible to run high compression BBC on the street?

E85- Possible to run high compression BBC on the street? I was wondering.. since E85 is so knock resitant, can you run, say a 13:1 compression BBC, daily driving? Thinking of trading to a BBC on the '67 eventually.. Running that compression, a 496 would be pretty healthy!

If you are looking to run E85 fuel in an older vehicle (pre-80's), you need to make sure your entire fuel system is up to the task. Tank, fuel lines, carbs, etc.
Ethanol likes to pull in and hold on to water, and if your fuel system isn't protect from exposure to water it will start to rust from the inside-out.
As far as the fuel running through the engine. That's the reason the boosted guys love it so much. It's "cheap race gas".
