Default is regulator beneficial for 500-600 horsepower?

i have a 2000 LS1 with full bolt ons, cam, heads, P1SC procharger, etc. that should make well over 500 horsepower. i will be running a dual racetronics kit. i know my stock lines and rails are probably good up to 700 or so horsepower. is there any benefit to replacing the rails or put on an aftermarket regulator? the car is not tuned yet so that doesn't matter. if it doesn't help for my setup, i will probably not do it now. i am just looking for suggestions...

By using a manifold-referenced regulator, you can make tuning easier since the IFR table only handles vacuum.

With a manifold-referenced regulator the IFR table will contain the same value in all cells, so when you go into boost that same IFR value is used (i.e. when you spill off the zero-vacuum end of the IFR table).

Do I need aftermarket rails to hook up an aftermarket regulator? I forgot to mention it, but I am running a speed density tune.
