Default Anyone running two fuel/tunes?

So here's the deal, I live in Los Angeles, (**** Occupied) CA and I really really really want to run E85 in my car, problem is A) Nearest E85 station is 22 miles and B) I'd like to drive drive a lot.

After weighing my options, I've pretty much put the 91 Oct/100% Meth combo on the shelf for now, I'd really like to two fuels; 91 for play, and E85 for business.

So is anyone currently doing this? Pros? Cons? What the right/wrong way to go about this. This isn't an issues of fuel milage, but more fuel avalibility. Thanks for reading

One of the biggest issues I've seen from people running this kind of setup is fuel contamination.

Not so much dirt/particle contamination, but the two fuels contaminating each other.

Having a couple gallons of pump gas in the tank when you fill up with E85 (which can be as low as 79% ethanol in the summer, allowable by the current guidelines) can get you an ethanol mixture below what you are tuned for...and the opposite for when you fill back up with pump gas.

A good wide-band O2, in driver's view, is a must!

Thanks Chris, it would be on 91 octane a majority of the time, with a very conservative tune/low boost. I want to run about 20 PSI when on the E85 how ever. I guess the real question is can an E85 setup be tuned to run 91 pump? I'm thinking about twin Bosch 044s and 2000cc injectors

Most of the time, an E85 setup can run gasoline just fine. As a matter of good maintenance, you should run a tank of gas through your system every 3-5 E85 fill-ups to clean out any ethanol related deposits.

2000cc injectors? That quite a bit of fuel. What kind of power are you looking to make on your "full-tilt" E85 tune?

Umm then you should have the money to buy E85 by the drum and just keep it at home.

E85 is hydrophilic, attracts water, if you do plan on buying in quantity, make sure the barrel stays sealed and you don't store it for long periods of time.

Good point. If he is saying he is going to drive his car as much as he stated he will easily go through a drum.
