Default 28.8# fuel injectors... any gain?

I'm going to buy an LS6 intake and I have the option to purchase one with 28.8# injectors.
I have a 2000 SS M6 with mods below (cam and headers)
-What size injector do I have now? I'm thinking 26?
-Will they increase HP. Even if it is 2RWHP it will be worth it for only $65 extra.
-I have LS1Edit but I'm not a pro at it yet. Will it require anything special as far as tuning goes?

Thanks guys.

It will not add any more power unless your car is starving for fuel right now.

Are you getting that intake/injector combo from TSP? I'm thinking of getting that deal too--however, I think I'll save my 60 bucks on the injectors and buy gas for the injectors I have now! (The air going into the new intake is free).

Are you planning to install it yourself?

From what I've read, you will need tuning. I have the LS6 intake with a TR224 and heads, and I'm pig rich due to no tuning; see my sig for a dyno graph of what it can do.

I switched from the 26# to the 28# injectors but that was only because I was fuel starved. You will not see any power gain. You will also need a tune to support the new injectors.

Upgrading injectors is not for power gain, and you have to retune your computer for them to work correctly.

I have a 2000 also, which has the smallest injectors, so I installed a set of 28.8 injectors when I installed my LS6 intake. (My injector duty cycle was pretty high).

I purchased a used set from ebay for $65. They work great!
