Default Guys with Boost-Referenced Regulator...

Since I'm at 58 ~ 60 PSI Fuel Pressure and peak at about 13 ~ 14 PSI boost, is there a way to have the Boost Ref regulator rise at, say 1/2 PSI per 1 PSI of boost, and see if that is enough? Won't 71 ~ 74 PSI fuel pressure be too much fuel pressure for my system?

Sorry... I seem to be a novice dancing into new territory every so often.

Tell me what you guys do and what is sane. Thanks!

That pressure is fine. The whole idea of having a referenced regulator is to keep a constant pressure across the injectors, and not playing games with a varying injector flow rate. Not rising 1:1 would defeat the purpose

Only thing to watch is how much the pump flows at that pressure. Generally, flow drops as pressure goes up. But even a Walbro 340 is fine over 70psi

How about the same thing you said harlan but with a Bosch 420L @ say 75 psi of fuel pressure running around 650rwhp..... shouldnt it still flow enough to support that much rwhp?
Thanks

you could start with a lower base if that makes you more comfortable. You want it to rise 1:1 as Harlan said so maybe try a lower base fp if you are trying to limit the total fp under boost.

Thanks for the advice guys!

What I got out of that is that I really don't have to worry about the max fuel pressure for this level of boost, but, if I find I don't need that much, I can start at a lower base pressure and give it what FP it needs.

Thanks, again!
