Default Boil Fuel injectors in water?

i read a post on this forum from 2010 saying that you could boil your fuel injectors in water to clean them/ free them up. so i just wanted to double check to make sure this is ok and for how long do i boil them (2-3 minutes)? do i boil the water then drop them in?

i have some injectors that have been sitting for a while and want to renew them... they fire and ohm out correctly i just want to free them up

Never heard of that before. I've seen people put a therostat in a pot of water and make sure it opens when its heated.

The only cleaning that I have heard for injectors is sonic cleaning which some sponsors offer like New Era.

If you have a stuck injector boiling it in water will not hurt it, boiling water is only 212 degrees. but you have to pulse it right after and clean it ultrasonically.

Cheap insurance. I just had FIC do my injectors the beginning of this year on a set of FMS 160's. Did excellent work and turnaround time was fantastic.

FIC has my injectors for cleaning right now. I would rather not take a chance.
