Can I clean injectors off the motor?

I have a 5.3 that has around 1,000 miles, Has been sitting 4 or 5 years - Put a Howell harness on it (it's in a street rod) - Has fire, The injector wires are pulsing (test light) but the injector will not fire - I hooked a couple leads on a 9V battery and trued to manually fire them and no dice. I tried this on my DD 5.3 and I could hear them clicking.
I pulled the rails and dumped the gas out and am looking for a way to "unstick" them. Any ideas would be welcome. Anything I could soak them in?
Thx.

if you have injectors sitting they get stuck, not because of dirt, Its like paraffin wax. Boiling them gets them freed up then run them and they are fine. The only real way to clean them is to remove the filter and use a ultrasonic bath with a solvent while they are being pulsed.
