Ok. How about a ballpark idea? For example, this A1000 says it's good for 1300hp N/A and 1000hp FI in fuel injected applications.

Approximately 800FWHP @ 58PSI @ 13.5V @ 0.6BSFC (FI)
Approximately 975FWHP @ 58PSI @ 13.5V @ 0.5BSFC (NA)

Hot fuel, line loss, elevated pressure, lower voltage, etc. will all reduce actual supported HP.

Impossible if the same spec is to be maintained. It takes a larger turbine to move more fuel without adding more heat, armature RPM and power demands.

So is the walbro 400 100% not going to fit in a GTO bucket? Would any modification (like the kind of modification you do to get the 255 in) work to make this pump fit?

ok, so is it possible to retrofit this into a 98ls1 fbody? ive already installed a 255 and hotwire but when i need more fuel (which i think i will) but im already running a BR-FPR with a 3/8 line running back to the tank. would this support this pump?

The factory wiring and lines are not enough to support the F90000267 pump.

The hotwire is fine. The sender's bulkhead wiring, in-tank wiring and fuel tubes are not.

We are working on a system solution expected this summer.
Any updates?

ok, so at this point larger AN hose lines and a complete direct wiring from the sender and tank to the hotwire is required then. Any development for a harness to plug and play from the new pump and sender to the hotwire in the works?

We have offered an harness solution for the 99-02 modules for over a year now:
http://www.racetronix.biz/customkiti...=FPWK-017W&eq=

The in-tank harness is setup for a Walbro GSS-series pump. The connector could be easily replaced with terminals for other pumps.

I've bought this pump, injectors, efan harness, and other bits from you to install in a 98 trans am (also have your 98 hotwire kit and regular pump upgrade installed currently). What would I need to do to adapt this above harness kit to my 98 fuel tank setup. Are the bulkheads the same?

Thanks,

Dan

I have the Racetronix Hot Wire Kit in my '02 Camaro and had an Aeromotive 340 in (until it burned out right after I installed the Hot Wire Kit... NOT saying it's the Hotwire Kit's fault...my previous builder probably should have upgraded the wiring if BEFORE he was putting in the AM340, I think)...

Anyway, you say "the pump will not function properly with the factory regulator." What is the maximum flow the factory fuel regulator at the bucket can handle?

It handles the W255, AM340, DW300 fine, or? What about the Walbro 400 (p/n F90000262 (non-E85)

http://www.racetronix.biz/itemdesc.a...000262&eq=&Tp=

In other words, can I drop this in and replace my Walbro 255 with current setup (Stock Fuel lines, rail, fuel pressure regulator, Racetronix Hot Wire).

Thanks in advance!
Hayden

Most people with dual 255's only run one until boost hits. From what I understand the issue with the 400 is at idle and non-WOT

Well, I swapped one in this weekend. Test drive... no issues at WOT or at idle. Read somewhere where an independent flow test showed that it flowed LESS than an Aeromotive 340 @58psi. I figured I had an AE340 in for 6 months (until it burned out), so my setup should be able to handle this one. So far, so good.
