Default stalling issues (videos inside)

today i tried taking the filter off trying to cure those other issues stated about fuel pump making noises and stalling. made no difference. truck will still stall every few minutes, sometime it will pull itself back up and sometimes it will try but cant.

watched my fuel pressure gauge as this happened. didnt drop or gain anything.

got multiple videos to upload

best ive got is link to video didnt know how to make it show here

http://imageshack.us/clip/my-videos/694/s7iu.mp4/
(this one is a start up after it had died and i cycled the key to run the pump again. notice it was missing off start up, had to bump the throttle and it stopped.

http://imageshack.us/clip/my-videos/828/3fi.mp4/
(this time i had it running again, it stalled out and i didnt cycle the key, i just started cranking again)

last video is picture of my fuel pressure as its doing this

http://imageshack.us/clip/my-videos/27/ax0.mp4/

All input on this would be greatly appreciated

Sorry, but what was the pressure reading on the dial? I noticed it jumped up as the motor shut off. Not sure how normal that is. Can you verify the PSI it was reading while the engine was running? Any pending trouble codes in the computer? Have you checked with a code reader?

Nothing for trouble codes. Was 45 to 46 at idle. Will go to 55 at wot. Some think could be sucking air somewhere, I think it's another issue... But supposly my pressure is a little low. Idk how to up it besides restricting my return system

Pretty sure it is supposed to run 58/59 pounds. Mine always does.

What pump? And at idle and full throttle?

I've got 3/8 fuel line all the way up. Then 5/16 return. And I don't see higher than 54. I did have a restricted fuel sending unit which made it build upwards of 110 psi... Which was really working that pump (walbro 255). And now that I fixed the restriction this is the fuel pressure I'm getting now.

Possibly messed up the pump running this hard?

I think everything to do with fuel pressure is fine. I'm leaning more toward electrical issues. Your alternator charging cable is a dead give away. Do you have an aftermarket stereo on the car? If so what is this terminal going to? Another distribution block? When the vehicle is started check the voltage to the battery to see if it is fluctuating from battery voltage 12.66 to alternator voltage 13.8-14.2. I would also wiggle around the terminals to see if it stalls when you do that. I see loose battery or power distribution terminals all the time from aftermarket stereo installs causing this condition.

It still has 14 volts when it dies. All terminals are tight. Charges at about 14 volts

Fuel pump is still running when it stalls since it's seeing crank signal. It only dies this at idle. Not a single once has it done it while driving

You said it is seeing crank signal so that is good, I would still monitor this with a scan tool if you have one. If it 0's out and then stalls you can blame it on that. If the crank position sensor checks out, then the next thing I would move to is the IAC motor on the throttle body. I couldn't imagine the vehicle stalling quickly like this other then the three things I've mentioned. By the way, is the truck equipt with EGR?

Since when do we run 3 bar (45 pounds)? LS injectors are 4 bar (60 pounds). Walbro pumps should be putting out 59 pounds at idle and at WOT.

this is all im getting out of it... idk if the pump is bad or worn out? but 54 is at WOT.

i took the pump off after it not working. tapped on it a few times and it started working again.
so im thinking it either had something from my tank lodged in it. or its going out. im thinking its time to replaced it so im not stranded somewhere again

Got to remember I'm running stick fuel rail, with the vacuum pressure regulator.

Those are normal operating pressures for the truck rails.

what are? my numbers or his

putting on a new pump today. well see wht my fuel pressure gets to with it.

what should my numbers be with this setup

walbro255 (capable 60 psd)
3/8 fuel line from pump to an6 steel braid to the back of fuel rails. 5/16 return line.
has stock truck rails with vacuum FPR built into the rail
was reading about 45 at idle. 54 at WOT or with FPR vacuum line tooken off

2000 5.3l lm7

didnt get my pump when i was expecting it. anyone answer my question above?

Same fuel pressure as before with old pump.
