Default plastic regulator body to metal return leak

Does anyone if this part is reparable/serviceable....

My in-tank regulator is leaking, it leaks where the plastic body of the regulator meets the metal tube that goes down into the bucket.

It looks as if it's a press fit, with an o-ring? It dosen't unscrew, I tried that.

Either way, I need to get this fixed.

Key on, it jumps up to 60. Soon as pump cuts off, it's 52 psi.

WOT it drops down to 55, 53 psi.

I took the pump out through the access hole, with everything hooked up, and I am certain that this is where it is leaking, it is not the big oring that alot of other people have problems with.

Thanks.

I did the fuel pressure regulator on my 97 V6 firebird, it was not in the tank, but under the hood on the fuel rail. I dont know if its the same, but it was held in with a snap ring.

It help us if you tell us what car you have.

I take it you are talking about a 98 F-body?
If so, I do not know of a replacement & in most aftermarket pumps, the regulators seem to fail quickly.

Default fuel pump

Sorry...

2000 Camaro.

Granted, the top of my fuel pump doesn't look like the picture, I only used this for reference, but the pump is leaking here....

There is nothing wrong with the fuel pressure regulator. Where you show the leak is the normal fuel return after the regulator. The fuel is pressurized in the line before the pressure regulator. The fuel pressures you posted seem normal to me. 60 psi. is normal, turn the key off the pressure drops to 52 psi what is the pressure after several hours or over night. If the pressure stays at 52psi there is no leaking in the fuel system. 55-53 psi at WOT seems normal, what is the psi. at steady cruse?

Default regulator

We just put in a racetroix pump with hot wire kit to try and fix this issue, now we are having it still....

Plus, we are showing evidence of the fpr releasing fuel back into to the tank at 60psi like it is supposed to, and it drops pressure back to 50 when key is turned off.

We can see fuel until the fpr seats, either way, we are going to disect the fpr and check for problems. Hell, I'll epoxy the return tube to the plastic housing to stop the leak, eleminate that issue either way.

We might find something, but there's no way my injectors should be doing all the work by themselves, they are going to get their 58-60 psi at WOT.

Default regulator

Alright,

I changed out the stock regulator with a replacement delphi 10021 regulator, and I now again have rock solid 61psi at idle, 58-59 psi WOT.

Don't settle for falling or low fuel pressure, get it fixed.

^ Good thing you found it.. You can really open a can of worms with a pump install.. I did..
I noticed a fuel pressure issue after I installed my RT 255 kit. But then again, I never paid attention to fuel pressure before hand. Mine was 55# idle, 52# under WOT which would gradually drop to about 45#. Installed a new Delphi Regulator and no dice. Ended up going to a return system.
