So I'm putting a 5.3l in my 97 dakota and had some questions about the fuel system. I will be running 42lb injectors,billet rails,and a walbro 255. So here's my questions... the stock fuel line is 5/16" and the engine should be close to 375whp and then adding a 100 shot on top of it,am I correct to think the stock lines are too small? Now on to the fuel pump situation,the dodge regulator sits on top of the pump basket,factory set at 49.5psi +/-5psi,will this work with my set up or am I going to need to put in a boost pump after the stock regulator to raise the pressure up some more?

Or you could bypass the stock regulator and put on a fuel lab one. It'll be easy enough since you're replacing the feed line anyway. Then use the stock feed as your return.
