Default Alky control not getting full pressure when cutout is closed???

Just as the the says I took the car out yesterday and ran it from maybe 40-100mph 2 times and the red/green LED never went to green. Just to be clear I have never went WOT with the cutout closed before this time. I used the test button on the adjustable control module and the LED would only go to red. I open the cutout a little like I normally do and it instantly goes to green like it always has. Whats going on I wonder??? Has this happened to anyone else?

What does the red light mean as opposed to the green light? I'm just curious about it.

Nevermind I researched it. Now I need to check mine because my led doesn't go green either.

Weird huh? I cant imagine how the two are related but IDK why else it would not go green until the cutout was open.

Yeah I don't see what opening a cut out would have to do with that at all.

Took mine in to be looked at and they said that it probably has an air leak somewhere not allowing full pressure so they want me to drop it off next Tuesday so they can look over it. They told me not to do any pulls until then.

Definitely will. That's why I told you what they said it probably was, leak somewhere and not building proper pressure.

I see what your saying now. There is a leak in the alky control system itself. I thought you were talking about the pro charger piping itself. Mine did go to green instantly when the cutout was open but I will check for leaks regardless.

Yeah a leak somewhere in the piping between the pump and the nozzles. Yours however doesn't make sense because it goes green wuth the cyt out open, mine doesn't go green at all. Like stated above you might want to give Jose a shout and ask him, he's a great guy.

Ok, so I just got off the phone with Julio and man oh man do I feel like an ***. lol Apparently you should purge the kit once at the beginning of the day when boost is expected if its been a while since running the car. Ok, I hadnt drove the car in about 2 weeks and just decided to take it out for some long over due fun. The lines were not purged and the system wasnt seeing full pressure for the 1st couple of hits until I just happened to give it another try with the cutout open. It was probably just pure luck that the engine didnt skeet itself off all over the road like some kind of adult film or the like. Lucky me.

Did you turn the dial to #8 before purging it? If not Julio says that will not be enough to make the pump run hard enough to get the LED to turn green. I believe this was part of the reason mine didnt go green after the 1st run when I hit the test button.

I think I did but can't remember. I know I held the test button down until my afr bottomed out to 10 at idle.

I'm going to try it again this afternoon.

I took mine for another trial run and purged it before the hit this time. It worked like its supposed to. Its amazing what a little phone conversation can do these days. I was curious why Julio put instructions in the kit to start with. Guess Im lucky I had my kids around to read them for me or it might have not gotten installed correctly.
