Default Hotwire kit connector melted

I couldnt start my car today so I opened up the access panel for the fuel pump and found that the four pin connector for the racetronix hotwire kit melted. It also melted through the side of the socket on the fuel pump bucket. Does anyone have an idea what would've caused this? The hotwire kit has an inline fuse in the front of the car. The hp efi kit that I'm running also has a few fuses on it. It appears that no fuses have been blown.

That is exactly why all the new hotwire kits come with the new flat style connector and new bulkhead.
That square conn is rated to 15 amps the new one will handle 30-40 amps. Also why all new fuel pumps you get from dealer or auto parts store have that also.
The only way to make it work now is to get the new bulkhead and pigtail from racetronix.
We have them avail.

When installing today I noticed the connector inside the tank and ground wire are also ruined. Do you know the part number for the four pin connector that plugs into the underside of the bulkhead?

Thanks, it looks like RCS-032. I was just wondering if you had a non Racetronix part number so I can get it delivered sooner.

Quite often the local auto parts store will have tje fuel pump harness (usually a WH airtex or wella number) avail that uses that connector also. ive uses them before.

You may need:

The full wiring harness is ITWH-023.
The bulkhead connector is RCS-031
The bulkhead 4 way is RCS-028

Check the pics to make sure the pump is compatible.
