5.3 conversion fuel rail questions

5.3 conversion fuel rail questions 5.3 conversion. Looking at gas tank options. Can do the standard send and return off the stock fuel rail, but does anyone had experience with in tank regulator or the systems of the regulator and filter in one? In this case has one modified the stock fuel rail for single hook up or do you have to just replace it?

I have an "at tank" combined regulator and filter from Tanks, Inc. with the pump inside the tank. Seems to be working well on a 70 El Camino with a donor 5.3L engine from a 1999 GMC Sierra. I replaced the vacuum-referenced regulator at the fuel rail with a return-less fuel rail and it has also been working well. I did not modify the stock fuel rail.
