whining pump
Put a walbro 255 in my car the other day. I did the it the access panel way. Since there was nothing there, I expected to be able to hear the pump some. Now, I've got it all sealed up and put back together, but the whine is still quite audible. What gives?

Mine sounds like that too, and it doesn't matter if the pump is hot or cold. Not real loud but you can deffinatly hear it in the car and alittle bit when outside the car. I've had it out twice and everything seems perfecly fine and fuel pressure is holding a steady 60psi. It's pretty much been like this for 4 months and I can't really figure out why.

Just put duals with dumps on there and the only tim you will hear it is when you turn the key on. . Mine is a little louder than the stocker but I cannot hear it over my exhaust.

I think it's a problem cause it gives me a headache sometimes. Ok, so it's not a "problem," but it is quite annoying.
And I don't like naggy passengers complaining about another thing.

Mine was loud for a few days when it had a harder time pumping as my sock was dirty and my gas tank had debris. But once again ... the noise should decrease if you're able to reduce the stress on it.
Or maybe I;m getting used to it
