bad gas in an LS

bad gas in an LS I think I have bad gas in my tank. What is the best way to purge the system? It won't crank. It has been sitting for awhile, and has been hard to crank of late - even though I used some gas treatment. But this has been over a year now. It wouldn't crank the last time I tried a few weeks ago - found out my plugs had fouled. Put in new plugs and cranked it up. Idled it for about 30 minutes and shut it down. Now it's doing the same thing...
Can I just disconnect the fuel line at the injectors and pump the tank dry? Damage the pump?

It turns over fine, won't fire. Plenty of pressure. This happened a few months ago. The plugs were fouled, I changed them and it fired right up. I then let it idle for 30 minutes, revving it occasionally, then shut it down. Now I go to fire it up again and it does the same thing. I think the gas is fouling the plugs. This car has been sitting for a couple of years. I go out and fire it up every few weeks for a half hour or so. The last few times it has been giving me this problem...
