Default Racetronix install ?

I'm waiting for my racetronix pump in the mail. Am I going to have to drop the tank to install the harness ?

I have a little access panel for the pump so I dont need to drop the tank for that but what about the harness ... is it necessary to drop the tank ?

You should drop the tank to flush it if for no other reason, In my line of work I know that debris of any kind can result in premature pump failure, just do it right and the pump should enjoy a long & healthy life.

You may be able to drop the tank a bit to get your hand in there in order to plug the harness into the fuel module connector.

It has been done...on my car.

The tech cut the "access panel" in the trunk of the car to get to the fuel pump, then dropped the tank just a little bit (unbolted the straps) to get clearance to get the fuse-holder through. The relay wouldn't fit without dropping the tank, so they left it up top and grounded the harness to the chassis right above the fuel tank. The "hot" lead still made it all the way to the engine bay.
