FINALLY -- they've only been talking about that for years now! However, it sounds like a pretty nice piece -- 2 step built in, etc.

Not wicked unless you plan on doing a carb LS1! This is only for carb LS1's. They do have ignition coils finally available for the LS1's though.

some people are using LS1s in older cars, and are using the carb cause thats what the're good at.

Exactly the opposite actually....For guys building strip cars or starting an ls1 buildup in an old car its a GREAT option.

Itll make it alot easier to do an ls1 swap for cheaper. You can buy an ls1 longblock for $1000, buy the GMPP intake, and some small stuff and have an ls1 running in your car for $2500....much cheaper than the painless wiring kit, ls6intake, injectors, fuel rail, throttle body, mass air, intake option.

That is true, but if I was going to throw an LS1 into a classic car, I'd rather go all the way with it. But that is just me. So I guess I'll take back the thing.

alot of the older guys know how to work a carbed car, and electronic stuff is a mystery.

Multiple spark won't do anything for boost... by 3000RPMS there's no time left over for multiple spark...

I'd just go with a Megasquirt and EDIS setup. Individual coil packs supported, crank trigger ignition, full authority over spark and fuel - for a few hundred bucks. 'Nuff said.

How about a 6-71 with dual quads on a 6.0L? The MSD box has a MAP sensor so you can pull timing out with boost.

http://www.msdignition.com/2005/2005_2.htm These are what you will want. The original post is for the blaster coil that will allow the use of a carb on the ls1, while these coils are for the fuel injection.
