What and how did you screw up.Bio diesel that's commercially produced is not going to harm the fuel system in 1994 or newer road vehicles.

If you have a dirty fuel system when you start using it you should change the fuel filter in the first 2,000 miles to get the crude out. After that, follow the factory recommendation.

Well the reason it screwed up your diesel equipment is because biodiesel acts as a solvent cleaning every part of your fuel system, including take any particles on the bottom of your gas tank and flushing them through the system along with any particles anywhere else within your fuel system. Another thing to think about when converting your vehicle(s) to biodiesel is changing out all the rubber seals, orings, lines etc etc with "viton" equipment that will not corrode with time like rubber does when it comes into contact with biodiesel. I can tell you right away that no latemodel ford diesel pickup is made for use with biodiesel because they notoriously use rubber seals everywhere and rubber lines, especially in the injector pump which is common failing item in Fords when using biodiesel. And thats probably what you had to have fixed was all the seals, rubber lines, orings etc etc. Thats very unfortunate that all happened to some very expensive equipment of yours, but in all honesty, you didnt research what you were doing and now your paying(or payed) for it. But it all could have been avoided.

On another note, the benefits of using biodiesel are cleaner emission, greatly reduced c02, almost eliminated nox emissions, there is no sulfur content in biodiesel so it does not emit black smoke out of the exhaust(hardly noticable and smells of french fries/popcorn or something else fried), its a clean burning renewable resource, it supports our ag industry and keeps crops from rotting every year and costing our farmers money, it helps us to become less dependent on foreign oil, it is a better lubricant for your engine than petro diesel, it actually cleans your engine instead of making a mess of it(sulfur from petro diesel), and BEST OF ALL, restaurants give it away because there isnt a market for it and cant sell it, and you can actually make your own for between 25 and 75 cents a gallon including the material used to process it. Now that everyone is alittle more educated on the subject............ please continue.

Oh yes and I do use my own biodiesel processing system to make my own biodiesel and have been running on it for quite some time now in my chevy military pickup, which I did replace all the rubber parts on to keep from being an idiot as well......I bet you cant guess what the very first diesel engine invented was run off of.............?...........give up..........yep biodiesel..........the wright bros flew their plane on olive oil............(unprocessed biodiesel). a few more facts for yah.

I would think it would be in a suppliers long-term best interest to describe, up front, all the bad things that could happen to biodiesel users, which models are affected, what parts may be affected, and which aren't.

Happy customers are the best customers, and selling something to people who will become very unhappy is not a good business plan.

Sure, in the end it is up to the consumer to become informed. But, something new like this that everyone will want to become a part of....well, not everybody CAN become a part of it...

I know for a fact that a 1994 or newer Dodge Cummins is not affected by using Bio diesel. There are hundreds,if not thousands of people running straight B100 in their trucks with no problems to date.

I've run about 300 gallons of B20 through my Cummins to date and will continue to do so.

Well I will start off by saying that all of my customers are happy with my product. Reason being is because when they first come to me, I first give them some resources to check out for themselves and to research to get some more knowledgable information on the subject and to become confortable with the process. Second I include with all my systems, an illustrated step by step booklet that shows the process from begining to end and complications to avoid and how to fix them once they have happened, this thing is so simple an 8 year old could do it. And if the customer is still uncertain or uneasy with the process, I personally make a trip to their home or a place convenient for the both of us, and I will walk them through the process from start to finish(sort of a biodiesel work shop). So as you can see, I also find it very neccesary to inform my customers on the subject so that they receive the full potential and satisfaction of using my product. And learning what vehicles are and arent compatable is all part of the learning process.

Regards,
Remington

A friend of mine makes his own and runs it in his 04 or 05 ford f350. It runs fine and gets the same mileage, kind of a french fry smell to the exhaust though. I think the most expensive thing he pays for is the kerosene
