I think mine is dying as well. 98 stock pump, 90k miles, with a walbro inline...it's loud as hell now. When I'm coasting around at low speed, the whine goes away, then the revs drop...it's bad enough that the car will die. Today it happened, and with the key in the run position, the pump wouldn't kick on so I couldn't start the car. After a few minutes I finally heard the pump kick on when I turned the key and the car started...I was shitting my pants thinking I was going to be stuck on the side of the road.
Anybody know what this would cost me to fix at the dealer?

Dealer = $$$$. I think it might be less expensive to pick up a Racetronix kit. They are pretty easy and straight forward to install, if you think you can do it you'll save a bit more there too.

We charge $300.00 labor to install a Walbro in tank pump, so you would have $455.00 total in replacing your stock or aftermarket pump with a Holley/Walbro pn#12-914 forced induction fuel pump. Bob
