Default turning extruded stock into fuel rails

Just thinking about how to make fuel rails out of this stuff http://www.rossmachineracing.com/extrusion.html
preferably the -10an. Anyone know the proccess? or is there a bunch of expensive machinery involved?

Rails would be best machined on a mill - you will have to machine in the ports for the injectors at the correct positions and at the correct angle.

Ends would also need to be machined for use with preferably an O-ringed AN Fitting - meaning the threads would be of the 'straight' variety instead of pipe thread.

On top of that you will need to weld on the (2) attachment brackets to each to enable the rails to have the proper engagement/fit with the injectors when installed in the intake.

Seems like a simple job to make your own at first, and don't get me wrong, it could be done if you had the right equipment and the specifications for injector/bracket placement.

http://www.hotrodsolutions.net/

This is Kevin Thompsons website. He is the best I have seen at doing this. Look under manifold conversions. Just email him and tell him what you have and want to do.

to drill the holes for the injectors you would need a $129 drill bit. Its in Ross Machine's ebay stuff

or you can rent it from kinsler. http://www.not2fast.com/efi/hardware.shtml. seems to be just shipping.

Wow .800 is huge ours are .650 and will feed almost 2000HP I can not imagine those on an F-body. You will never find an injector to flow as much as those will feed.
