Default concerned with my fuel system-need advice

Okay, I'll list the motor build up below, but since this is the first time I'm building a high hp car, I'm not sure if my fuel system is gonna hold up. Let me know what you think.

fuel system:
60# Mototron injectors
LS1 Speed fuel rails
255lph Racetronix fuel pump

Motor:
370 8.5:1 compression

Turbo:
GT76 STS setup

I'm not really sure how much power this thing is gonna put down, but I'm figuring somewhere around 650 rwhp. Thanks for any help.

You can squeeze a bit more out of her if you relocate the FPR to the fuel rails, if you haven't done so already. You could also add a BAP.

I haven't relocated anything. I was thinking about a BAP just to play it safe. I just wasn't sure if that fuel pump would be enough, that is my biggest concern. Thanks for the advice though.

At a minimum I would add a BAP and put the regulator on the rails. Are you going to boost reference? I ran out of pump with the regulator in the back with a Walbro+BAP boost referenced at 620rwhp in an automatic.

If I add the BAP, I will go boost referenced, but I don't know too much about moving the regulator. What all is involved, and what would I need to buy? Why does that increase the amount of hp it will support?

I confess, I don't know what BAP stands for! lol

A 255 lph pump (free flow) will only handle about 420 hp FI and about 500 N/A.

As to the regulator, to move it from the tank to the rails, it just needs a new regulator and return line running from the regulator back to the tank. Of course, you have to get the regulator out of the tank, if that's where it is in your system. Maybe some other details, but that's the gist of it. With a "returnless" system, the regulator bypasses fuel at or inside the tank to hold pressure at the set point. Referencing the regulator to boost simply asks for more fuel pressure at the rails/injectors to compensate for the increased intake and cylinder pressure. By putting the regulator close to the rails, the system can respond to pressure needs based on the psi at the injector (or close to it) rather than based on the entire feed system. The rear regulator sees the pressure drop from the feed, rails and anything else after the regulator. To do it's job effectively, it has to have a way to account for all of that. The front mount just sees the pressure in the rails. It regulates fuel pressure *to the injectors* better than the rear position. the only rub is that you have to have a pump that will hold the pressure with whatever power your making. HTH

BAP=Boost A Pump.

The thing is, if I have to pull the tank again to change the regulator, I will probably just install a bigger fuel pump, and call it a day. I'm trying to avoid pulling the tank, I really didn't enjoy it last time. I think I'll set it up the way it is, if fuel pressure doesn't hold up, than go with a BAP, and if that doesn't do it...pull the freakin tank again!! Thanks for the help with all that!

Sounds like a plan. I would bet that you will need an external pump minimum, but you don't know until you try it. Calculations don't always pan out when the hardware is put to the test. GL
