Vapor Line?

Vapor Line?
A question on a 2002 T/A it looks like a fuel line and a vapor line at the engine (tied together with foil tape) Can that vapor line that also goes to the intake manfold be removed ? How can this be done? I want to use a single fuel with the corvette filter/reg.

It's possible but there are other things that need to be addressed when doing it.
You will throw codes for the various parts of the evap system. They can be turned off with tuning.
I think another side effect would be fuel fumes if your car is parked in a garage.
That evap line runs back to a canister on top of the fuel tank. I'm pretty sure it's a type of charcoal canister to absorb the fumes from the vent in the tank.
Capping the hard line under the hood may stop this. However I don't know if there would be a pressure buildup that could cause that cap to pop off.
I'm also not sure on how much the evap system has to do with venting the tank for re-filling with gas.
Thats all I got. If any info is out of wack, feel free to correct me.

I ripped mine out and just capped any openings that were left behind. Getting rid of that little solenoid looking thing by the intake really cleaned up the intake area as well.

i removed mine all the way to the tank..theres a hose hanging from the tank on my lt1 with a filter thing on it that i believe is what eats all the vapor smell..i blocked the line going to the intake all the way back at the tank..removed the charcoal canister...left the little yellow breather and that line intact...no fumes here...
it dangeling near where the ebs and fuel pump sensor plug in at..

I used my EVAP line as a return line. When I did that, I unplugged the plastic line coming from the tank that goes into the hard line that goes along the frame rail and into the engine bay. I left the plastic line just hanging there for the vent. I leave my car parked in my garage all the time, and I've never noticed a fuel smell. I would not however just cap it and forget about it. That would bug me all the time knowing there is nowhere for the fumes to escape if the pressure increased in the tank.
