Default #26 injectors to # 28

small simple question

how important is the tune in a bolt-on car?

will the car be driving lean?

Well I will tell you this my car ran like **** when i did that. I had just a cam,headers and exhaust with 26lbs that had been tuned, then i put on ls6,ported throttle body and 28lbs inj. a few months later and it messed everything up, mine didnt want to idle very well. I mean it only sounds like 2lbs difference cause thats what i thought but it does mess all the fuel table up. Luckly a group of us had a tuner comin into town that weekend so i only drove it like that to there to have it tuned. So from my experience i would say make sure you have it tuned for the injectors but others may say different.

get a local to fix the injector table for you. you will need it.

You actually will go rich on a stock tune. The injectors will flow higher.
Will the computer be able to adjust? Depends on any porting to the MAF
or throttle body, aftermarket lid.

The best advice is find someone to tune your VE table. With the MAF and LTs the table would have been off already. The PCM can adjust quite a bit on fueling. But i'm not going to say you'll be okay and help lead you to engine problems. The best advice find somebody with edit or tuner and log it. The adding of a wideband to the equation would be ideal.

It will be a bit rich. I did the same thing. I need a dyno tune bad. I also ported my maf..........my car is all f'ed up now.
