just wondering what octane people are running in their LSx

i run 93 and is it ok to put a few gallons of race fuel in every few weeks??

Are you stock?

I run 93 only.

Just finishing up my H/C swap and my CR will be at 12.2:1 .... So yah... 93.

i run 93 and like to cut it with some race gas to "try" to get close to 100 octane...... only due that when i go to the track and run the nitrous

other wise just 93 all the time

I run 93. I can get a tank to last a week and a half so i feel its worth the few extra bucks...

There's no point for you to use race gas w/ just a few bolt ons. Just a waste of money IMO. Stick w/ the 93 octane

why is this a problem

it's 100% pointless to run anything over 91 octane since that is all the computer requires. you will see no more horsepower or fuel economy by using over 91 octane. however, you will lose power and mpg if you use LESS than 91 octane since the computer retards timing to eliminate knock. that being said, i use 91 octane. anything else is throwing money away. use 93 octane if 91 is not available or if you ping on 91.

91 pump, and whatever race gas I want to tune for, have not picked up a methonal kit yet but I plan on it.

93 all the time... i used to have a gas station by me that offered 94 octane but thats gone now.

It's more of an incovenience to me not having access to 93 octane at the pump because I would Love to just drive up to any pump and buy 93 octane when I feel like spraying a 200 shot. but It's not as bad of an incoveinence now since I have a stand alone filled with motorsport 109 now.
