Default Nasty tank and Magnafuel 4303 install pics

Started this at noon and didnt get done until 2am and already had the stock tank out - lot of freaking work Biggest pain was I couldnt find a sender to work right so I was able to reprogram the pcm and get it to work OK with a 0-90 ohm sender which will work out better if I do away with the stock PCM/wiring and use an aftermarket gas gauge.

I used an old RCI fuel cell rollover valve/vent (the tank I have is an older one that used the 99+ fuel module) that I put in the top and the elbow is above the filler neck, should be fine..

Only real comment is this pump is pretty loud, doesnt really matter to me as long as it works OK. Another thing is it uses some current so dont be stingy on the wire. I just used one of the 10ga wires from my old dual pump setup and the wire got pretty warm after about 10 minutes, so I used both relays with two 10 ga wires and a 6ga ground wire.

Tank fit well, pretty happy with the whole setup except I wish the tank was a little better baffled but the sump is pretty low so it should be OK. Too late to start it but I'll see how it does tomorrow at keeping the pressure up compared to the dual walbros I had..

Good pic's, keep us updated on how this works out for you. There aren't many good fuel system alternatives once the power level goes past 600 rwhp, and none are cheap... Bob

Cool way to mount it on the panhard bar.

Centroid Products can make any ohm sender any length that actually works for $60. All electric...just an aluminum tube.

BTW somebody stole your shocks.

Shocks are on there

I thought all along the 98s used 0-90 senders but they dont, they are like 40-250ohm, just the opposite of the 99+ cars. It works after fooling with the PCM, just wont read over 3/4 tank. Good to know about Centroid though, the tube type senders are a lot nicer. I already bought one of these and will try to just flip the resister part over, I'm cheap

Looks good! Do you have the pump isolated with rubber?

I was thinking of using some of those rubber MSD box mounts, the car is so stupid loud with the exhaust thats on it I'm not really that concerned with the noise. I'm sure the rubber mounts will quiet it down a whole bunch in the car though.

Isolating will quiet it down big time, especially in the car. Being bolted straight to metal, the metal acts as an amplifier.

Please keep us posted on how you like this pump and how it does. I am about a week away from ordering one and want to be sure I make the right decision.

I used a piece of 1/16" rubber gasket material under mine and it seems no louder than the Weldon I had.

I'm aware of that Like I said the noise isnt a concern for me really, but its by no means what I would call quiet, quiter then a Weldon 2345 though lol.

Find you some rubber isolators mounts from an MSD ignition box, mount the pump to the frame rail of the car on that and the noise will be supressed greatly.

I dont what its going to do at 60 or 70psi but I always see how long it will take to move 5 gallons of gas throught he whole system when I make a fuel system change. I put a -6 hose on the fuel rail right where the regulator hooks on so the fuel has to travel through everyhting.

Fresh dual in tank walbros with the good Y and bulkhead in the tank would move 5 gallons in 2 minutes 30 seconds, 120gpm which is pretty good. This one moved 5 gallons in 1 minute 15 seconds which is 240gpm free flow, thats a LOT of fuel but @60-70psi who knows. I'll find out when its not 95 degrees out

Finding a spot to mount the dude on a stock tank car is a challange. Youve got a good spot since youre using an aftermarket tank. The pump is big!

Yea, you would have to put it where the stock fuel filter is, not a good place really. Or on the frame rail but a stock catback type tailpipe is right there. Not a lot of room with the stock tank/cat back muffler
