Default Lockable gas caps?

Are there any heavy duty lockable gas caps out there? I found one at AutoZone that was supposed to be for my year and didn't even fit. Plus it looked like it was no better than the regular gas cap. As if the lock was worthlessly cheap.

it is but gas siphoning is a crime of opportunity no one is going to fumble with the lock when the car next to you doesn't have one.

I had a locking gas cap for years on my 97. Never had a check engine light. Cap is the same as stock, except with a lock. Not sure on the LS1 cars.

They are different because i tried to put the locking one from my 00 grand prix on my car and it did not fit. I found one at pepboys and it works, locks and fits perfect. I will see if i can find a part#.

The only thing you have to watch out for on the f-bodies is the fact that the gas tanks in the '98 cars were different from the '99-'02 cars. Other than that, you'll also have to live without the little tether that lets the cap dangle (at least I did)...I've had mine on for quite some time, and I like the peace of mind it has given me. I didn't get it to stop tank siphoning...I got it to keep someone (kids) from pouring **** in (like sugar). No EVAP codes with mine...
