How to run your LS1 on E85
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
I would imagine it would appear the same as an LS2 conversion into an LS1 based car. Reluctor wheel swap, Electronic throttle body and a few various sensors.
The car is mostly a toy, although it wouldn't be uncommon for me to drive it 400 - 500 miles away from home. I would really love to run E85 in my swap, although there will be rare times when I foresee the need to fill up on standard gas.

These guys claim to be able to run E85 or premium with no retune required. Is this feasible? I do know that there are differences on the flexfuel PCM's, although since I don't personally have one, I'm not sure of what they are.

My main question is how you account for the changes in stoic fuel ratio without the use of an ethanol sensor? How does the vehicle run when on 100% gas?
From a little research it looks like the true factory supplied flex fuel vehicles have the same PCM's as non flex fuel vehicles so this is looking more and more feasible all the time.

DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYTHING FROM PEOPLE WHO DO NOT RUN E85 IN THEIR OWN VEHICLE.
I will not argue with anyone on this, so don't try.
E85 will increase your engines performance when properly tuned.
Over 90% of the "infomation" offered on the web about E85 is not accurate.
I have spent countless hours sifting through E85 BS.
IF YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT E85, LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO USE IT.
I run E85, and just want to help others find good info on the subject.
Have no clue with 85, but I know you have to do some different tuning and what not. I believe it's what, around 105 octane? Should make a nice street gas for a boosted application. Hear the gas mileage is worse though..
