I run in to this alot... I've been a member here for a long time and have only gained tidbits of info. If I find out anything I'll be sure and pass the info on. I'm gonna try after my clutch install and finalize my tune. Should I fail I'll take my car to a Tuner that has done this setup before and I will share his secret with all of us.

Give me a week or two and I should have the 96lb's dialed in. You would have to do some minor changes as i am at 6k ft altitude and 50 psi base pressure. Had to pull the widebnd off the car to tune a customers car Just as I was getting the transient stuff figured out.

Well, I have had a few tuners agree that the 96's can be dialed in pretty good w/ the versa and HP/EFI (though my favorite guy thinks 60lbers with 85lbs fp is a better way to go) ... but 96's it is (unless someone says the 83's are much easier).
The EFI/HP decision will be based on the tuner I choose more than anything.

What are you guys paying for these versa units? I havn't had any experience with one. 85lbs seems like a little excessive fuel pressure to me also. Get much more than that and it'll be too much resistance to open the poppet in the injector.

Installing versa and 96" next week..allow 2-3 weeks for a tune... unless it snows..then it'll be a while so better grab a snickers.

Versa are $399.

once i get my cable back from my friend ill probably start it up and start messing with it. provided its not raining or snowing bad.

im not to worried about the idle, i think they will do ok.
just hope the 96's will be big enough

also still waiting on getting my tranny in, guy is taking for ever getting that RMVB and brake on it, good thing he's doing it for free or id be upset by now. :0
Any update yet smokinHawk about running the 96#, especially at idle?

You can get them to idle better if you play with the offsets and minimum pulsewidth, stock tune isnt even close for big low Z injectors. I had 83s idling at 14.7:1 in closed loop with a 98 pcm/AES injector box.

I made a post a while back when I had the 75s and put which tables I was fooling with - dont remember now since I have been on the BS3 for a while.

I'm not being a dick lol, I just havent looked at a stock PCM in 6 months and I dont do this stuff for a living so I really dont remember. The voltage offsets was one table and there is a minimum pulsewidth table or two that needs to be changed. Mine was idling pretty clean under 1ms idle PW. I never had any stumbling or off idle issues at all, I did have to drop the amount of cranking fuel though, it was way to rich at startup.
