Q. installing fuel injectors without damaging the o-ring
I've tried using some engine oil & vaseline on the injector o-ring and fuel rail hole, i can get the injector to snap in, but every time a small piece of the o-ring gets clipped. This cant be good!
I have a new set of o-rings from the dealer, and I dont want to ruin them. I have my old rings now that I'm experimenting with.
Whats the trick to installing the injectors into the fuel rails without damaging the o-ring?
btw, the rails are high flow from speedinc.

"White O-Rings"? I'm not sure what they white ones are, mine are stock black rings.
Anyway, when inserting the injectors into the first rail, was a bit of a challange (like I described above), but I was finally able to get all 4 in, without damaging the o-rings. Then the injectors/rail snapped right into the manifold nicely.
But strangly enough, the 2nd rail didnt give me a hard time at all!
All 4 injectors popped into the rail smoothly and snuggly.
I've completed the setup, and the Fast 90/90 is installed and looks great. I wont know how well it runs till winter breaks, another 2 monthg or so.
Thanks all.

Its funny you say that....i just bought some 42# green tops...and I have the speed inc rails on my FAST 90...and they seemed to just slide in easily....MUCH easier than the stockers...I am a little concerned about this...but Im sure it will be fine!
Anyone have any ideas as to why it is not a tighter fit?
