Default Fuel Pressure PSI

Ok, so I have a 1995 Firehawk, I'm pretty sure its a factory pump. I'm wondering if the pump is dying. I am wanting to find out about how much psi the pump is putting out at the fuel rail.

You can adapt a standard 1/8th" pipe gauge onto the rail with a casper electronics adapter. You have to take out the schrader valve inside of the rail.

I use a portable gauge that I connect to the schraeder valve. Stock pressure should be around 40 psi, and you should see around a 4 psi jump when you simulate WOT by removing the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator. (Located at the back of the manifold on the fuel line.) At least that is where it is at for my 97 LT1, yours should be the same.

i see how this didn't help, as he didn't give you the number, but he was telling you how to hook it up so you could still see what your fuel pressure is, and if no one else reported back you could go ahead and measure yours and report back and ppl would post up if urs was low or not... so what pressure you got?

I agree, ZL1. EPP is the best sponsor on this site as far as helping folks with their problems. All I really did is provide the numbers. (Had too many fuel problems last year, so I have the numbers memorized. )

On an LSx it should be 4 bar (58psi)....only on an LTx is it 3 bar (43.5 psi).
