Default Remove Intake? Help!

Ok, so I know I have a bent pushrod and I need to access it. However, I loosened all the long bolts on the top of the intake manifold and removed the throttle body. I disconnected all the lines except the fuel lines. So now do I need to remove the fuel rails FIRST before removing the intake manifold or can the fuel rails stay on? What is the best way to go about this procedure?

Thanks

Why are you pulling the intake off to replace pushrods?? All you have to do is pull the valve covers off.

Well now that I know the intake doesn't have to come off I guess it's too late. I broke some kind of plastic fuel line off of the metal heat shield that attaches to the Evap Control Valve. If anyone knows where I can get a new Evap Control Valve and a new fuel line let me know! Anyone know the proper name for the line I broke?

I was wondering the same thing. Pull valve cover, pull rocker arm, remove pushrod and reassemble in reverse order.

Even if you pull the intake you still can't get to the pushrod. The valley is sealed. The only way to remove a pushrod is from the head.

You need a new EVAP purge solenoid. get it at the dealer, its a pretty cheap part, or you can just JB Weld it back together, thats what i did for a temp fix.
