Default external fuel system-tapping into the fuel tank?

Hey guys I'm installing a new external fuel system with a weldon 2025 pump- does anyone know of a company that has a system/set up that sumps from the bottom of the stock fuel tank? Something that taps into the tank... something along those lines...

We took out the fuel tank and welded in a -12 weld bung/fitting into the fuel tank.

We use Earl's -12 braided hose from the fuel tank over to an extra large Holley in line fuel filter.

So there's no need to actually weld a sump kit to the tank? I could just weld a couple 3/4 NPT bungs into the bottom edge of the tank? I'd need a 10AN feed and 6AN return.

Or what about drilling a hole and using those fuel cell bulkhead fittings that have nylon washers that seal the fitting in the tank. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Barry...spagenameZWDVW

Could something like that be used?

I like both ideas- will that be adequate to supply 1200hp? even with a weldon 2025 pump. It just doesn't seem like a tapped hole will allow enough fuel flow... anyone else?

It is not the best solution for that much pump you can starve that pump very easily with out the proper sump.

For the time being I'm probably going to run two in-line Walbros in parallel. Someone's letting a pair go along with the plumbing for a good price in the for sale section

Get a -12. Run as big of a line as possible to the pump. I made that mistake once.

All was fine above 1/4 tank, below that it runs good straight, just dont turn very fast.. lol

I'm running 2 -10's to the pump and -12 up the car. It is way more fuel than I need now, but you can never have too much fuel system.

When I doubt, over build it.
