Default Low pressure on Walbro?

Hey all. Just put together a dual intank setup using two Walbro GSS340s from EPP. Just a quick plug for Bob and his guys for making sure I got the parts in time.

Anyway, I'm having an issue in that one pump is only holding about 28psi at idle and dropping below 25psi on a load. The other pump runs great holding everything at factory 58psi at idle and upping a bit under load. Both pumps running at the same time also have idle psi at 58.

Wiring is correct and there are no leaks. I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem? Thank God I've got two of them

Sent an email to Bob at EPP this weekend and what do you know. First thing this morning I have an email back with a couple of ideas to check but more importantly, an offer to replace the pump. Even better, he said he would send a new pump out and when I swapped, I could send him the old one back. That's the way it's supposed to work! Thanks Bob

We have not received any support e-mails today in regards to a F98 or F99 system.

We do not supply warranty replacement pumps based on customer diagnosis. Over 90% of the time there is not a problem with the pump. It usually has something to do with the installation or operating conditions.

If you require tech support contact support@racetronix.com with as much info as possible along with all your contact info.

Thank you.

I'll just say with one pump running fine and the other putting out low pressure through the same setup, I'm glad EPP doesn't have that policy. All the more props for Bob and the guys at EPP.

EPP's handling of your claim has been mirrored many times by Racetronix dealers so it is nothing out of the ordinary.

If retail vendors (including our dealers) chose to offer more flexible / liberal warranty policies to help secure sales that is understandable. This has nothing to do with a distributor's or manufacturer's warranty which is in place to serve as a guideline for warranty handling procedures.

I am confused. To me, this sounds like lawyer talk. Have I missed something? EPP has earned its reputation for a quality dealer. Is Racetronix backing away from upholding its reputation?

Straight talk or lawyer talk call it what you will. Any reputable manufacture / distributor such as Racetronix will have clearly defined policies in place to deal with these issues in an unbiased and efficient nature. These policies should not vary with how much a customer has spent. Every customer deserves a fair shake regardless of who they are or what they have bought.

It is nice to see a customer happy with a reputable vendor's service such as EPP. Our original post was meant to address a question that had been posted by john563. It was not meant to compare or challenge services offered by other vendors such as EPP. There are 1000's of satisfied customers running Racetronix systems on this forum. We are sure EPP's customer satisfaction level is good as well.

John563 may contact support@racetronix.com for tech support.

Thank you.

I have not had any problems with my Racetronix kit. However, I will be certain to purchase any such items through a reputable dealer, rather than from the source. JMO.
